Arizona

Now in the world there are some different opinions about what is more important between economy and environment, and what we have to support first. In addition, people who are thinking about the future and the next generation agree with protecting the environment. One important part of the environment is groundwater. In addition, there is something that affects the groundwater, which is pollution. However, we have two kinds of pollution: first, natural pollution such as volcanoes, and this is a part nobody can do anything with; the second is pollution by human activity, and that we should find some solutions for to make our lives better. In addition, Arizona is an example of a place that has pollution from human activity. In Arizona, there is fast development and that leads to affecting the groundwater, because with a number of people should happen some bad behavior. So we have to support that idea to control the development in Arizona. However, some government laws in Arizona help to move people and that is not good for the state. In this article "Nevada Company wants to pump Arizona water," the author says, "Arizona law says water can be taken out of the state" (2006, para. 16). On the other hand, some companies want from buy the water to use the groundwater to make more money. In this article "Nevada Company wants to pump Arizona water" the author explains that, "a Nevada Company wants to reach across the border into northwestern Arizona to pump groundwater and pipe it back to growing Mesquite" (2006, para. 1). Finally, from that statement we can understand that there is fast development in Arizona and the amount of groundwater is going down. So we should support that idea of controlling fast development, because crowding people in one place is not good for people, animals or plants.

The definition of groundwater is the amount of water below the earth. In addition, the effects of reducing the groundwater it will be clear during the time. In addition, some people cannot have their right; because of that, governments should try to make a good law to give the people their right. According to K. Watkins (2006, para. 11), "Growing scarcity means more competition. And as William Mulholland taught us all those years ago, competition without good governance can turn ugly especially for those without power.” In addition, there is research for population growth in the future, which tells us about a big problem in the future. In this article "Water: Arizona struggles to meet growing demand" (2006, para. 2) the author tell us that "the west's population is expected to grow by 40 million people by 2030, and almost one-quarter of that growing will be in Arizona". That means 10 million people will come and use the groundwater in Arizona. Moreover, the importance of controlling the development is not to protect the people only; it is also to protect the water. In the article "Water: Arizona struggles to meet growing demand," the author quoted Sandy Bahr as saying "we need to protect people, but also need to protect flowing rivers and streams. And they're not just important for us right now, but also for future generations" (2006, para. 5). On the other hand, some countries are going to make laws to protect the groundwater, and any thing that affects it like the fast development in Arizona.

First, the government of the United States has to control the extraordinary development in Arizona because that is not good for people. However, there is unbelievable development in Arizona. Davenport (2007, para. 9) says, "Arizona is the nation's fastest state growing state." In fact, the number of people in one place will lead to bad health; we can learn that from some of the surveys about the differences in people’s health in small or big cities; people in small cities have better health than people in big cites. The reason is that in a big city, there are more cars, factories, and building smoke, but in small cities, the amount of all of those is less. Moreover, the crowding of people in one place leads to the pollution in Arizona; the water of the nation's now in an unhealthy phase. (Water pollution, 2006.) In addition, now in Arizona they have some problems with less water. If more people go to Arizona, that means less water and the problem will become bigger. For example, in the capital of Saudi Arabia we have some big problem with water, because more people have moved to live in Riyadh. Moreover, the presence of a large number of people in one place, especially with their cars and factories, would lead to an impact on the environment. Finally, people should not think about themselves only; they have to think about environment.

Next, we have to support controlling the development in Arizona, because there is a smaller number of animals in Arizona and they cannot live without any water. However, we have to control the use of water to keep their life. If a number of people move to this area, they need to use water, then the animals will not find any water and that would lead to killing animals. In addition, the number of animals will decrease during that time, because the nature of life requires hunting to live or indirect impact on food from erosion. For example, if there is a wolf and he lives when he eats deer, in this situation, when people hunt deer that will lead to the extinction of two types of animals, which are wolves and deer. So if people focus in one place, that will lead to losing the amount of animals and plants in that area. Finally, we have to support that idea to control moving people to Arizona, because we cannot live without animals and we have to protect them.

Third, the decrease in the amount of plants is one of the big reasons for not allowing people to move to Arizona, because plants are important to our life and in the desert area like Arizona there are fewer plants than in the other places. In addition, the amount of water in Arizona is not enough and the trees are dying. In the article "Parts of lush wash sanctuary are drying," the author quoted Lyman as saying "The water table has dropped, so the trees are dying" (n.d. para. 5). However, now in any big cities, like in Arizona, people should have industries and buildings, and need a wide area to build their houses, which leads to a decrease in the plants in that area and in a large amount of land. In addition, in Arizona when someone wants to build a house, he needs to uproot some plants to have places to build on. That will lead directly to damaging the amount of planted areas. Finally, a large number of factories in one place are not good for the environment, and people should distribute them to different regions, because if there are people in a particular place, there will be a large number of factories.

A small number of people are arguing that controlling development and not allowing moving people to Arizona is not good. In addition, they said people need to live in warm weather. That is not true. If we agree with every possible wish of people, maybe there will come a time, when people kill themselves to get to eat; because of that, government has to control that, and distribute people in many areas. In addition, if there are large numbers of people in one place, that will affect and damage the environment. Also, that will decrease the plants and animals. Finally, the problem of moving people and fast development can be limited by government, and people should try to get another way to have water in their places.

In conclusion, limiting and controlling the extraordinary development will help people, animals, and plants to have a good life in Arizona. In addition, sometimes people don't think about the future and the next generation; they only think about themselves and their lives. In addition, they do not think more about the environment. For these reasons, government should try teaching people and make many programs on the televition to teach the children and make some research to get the solution to decrease the moving of people, and to get the acceptend of people to stay in their lands or find new places for them to live in. Moreover, Arizona is a good place, but people, animals and plants need to have a chance to live with a good situation. Finally, people should have the responsibility themselves to help the governments to control the development in each place.

In this article, “Nevada Company wants to pump Arizona water,” the author explains different opinions about companies and corporation members. A Nevada Company wants to use Arizona water to pump it to another area, and they try to get support from the Arizona Department of Water. In addition, they face some strong opponent who says, “Arizona groundwater should stay in Arizona” (2007, para. 2.) Moreover, some other companies want to use the water in Arizona and they try to make the community disappear. In addition, author tells us that some of the near cities of Arizona have been developing quickly. One of the rich men in Las Vegas bought land on the other side of Arizona; the reason is that water in this area is available. In the article Winters said, “we can serve 40,000 to 45,000 people here with water supplies we know we can get;” that means he doesn’t want to lose the water, and he want to keep the water cheaper. Finally, the author explain that the law of Arizona allow to use the water out of the state.

Water now is a big problem for people because they worry about the next generation and some of them do not understand the need next generation. In addition, in many places in the world there are problems with different opinions about the needs and the rights of using water. Some companies want to control the availability of water, but they should not have the right for that because they do not care about multitudes of water, they do not care about pollution, and they are thinking about money.

First, companies should not have the ability to use water in Arizona, because if the companies get the right to use water in Arizona, they will go to use the water without looking at the amount of water and that would lead to losing the water in the next few years. In addition, if they have the government check with these companies, that does not mean they can control the uses of the amount because in any place there are some bad guys in government who would allow companies to use the water because they are thinking only about money. Finally, we should support that idea to control the use of water from government or community.

Next, the other reason to support the idea of controlling the use of water and not giving companies the right to use water in Arizona is that companies always are thinking about money and they do not care about pollution. When they sell the water that means many factories will be beside the river and that will lead to having more waste in that area. In addition, that will lead to having people crowd in one place and people will cause many damages in that area. Finally, they should help government to keep their water.

Finally, the goal of any company is to have more money; because of that, we should support the idea of not giving companies a chance to use groundwater. In fact, when we talk about any company in the world, we know they are searching for money and in the situation of groundwater, we cannot give them chance to get their goal and damage groundwater, because the next generation has a right to use the water. Finally, to help our grandchildren we have to not give company any chance to use the water.

In conclusion, we should support that opinion to not allow companies to use the groundwater, because companies do not worry about the amount of water. In addition, they lead to the pollution, and the goal of each company is only to get more money. Therefore, it is necessary for all the governments in world to start to make strong laws to control the uses of water. Finally, nobody can control the people in the world because, those people should have the responsibility in them selves.

Groundwater

In his article entitled "Arizona lawmakers OK new water management power in rural areas," Davenport tells us that the lawmakers in Arizona voted to increase the efforts to encourage the rural areas to establish new systems to control the use of water and control development. After the historic legislation to preserve the groundwater in 1980 legislative approval came in 2005. In addition, Davenport claims that growth "has started to crowd some rural parts of the state, leaving some straining to secure adequate water supplies" (2007 p.1). Davenport goes on to say, "In parts of eastern and northern Arizona, residents have to truck in water" (2007 p.1). Moreover, he explains some of the rural areas, authority and law. For example, Napolitano said "with our population growth, water management is essential". Finally, Davenport said might start a new grant fund without formal adoption and some of the supporters said it would take some help from the government.

Now in the world, people have a big problem with water, and many countries do not have adequate reserves of water. However, some of them do not have any plan for the future. In addition, people need water and we have to support the idea of creating new laws to conserve groundwater in the world, because all people have the right to use water, to keep the prices down and to give chances for the next generations.

First, the main test for making a law is to protect people from Influential people who exploit higher position and money for water consumption at the expense of the people. For example, what happens with poor farmers when the rich farmer takes the groundwater, and does not give anything to them because they do not have good relationship with the government worker. In addition, this event may be the possible cause of the death of a group of people at the expense of the welfare of others. In the end, we have to agree with the new groundwater law.

Next, the other reason to support the idea to make new laws for groundwater is that the costs of water are growing up. If we have a small quantity of water with a large number of people, that will lead to the high cost of water. For example, in the case of electricity, when the population demand is growing, the prices go up. Water is indispensable and that will lead to high prices when there is a paucity of water. In the end, we must support any law that helps maintain water.

Finally, the next generation has a right to the groundwater. In addition, we have to accept a new law to keep and control the use of groundwater. For example, try to recycle the water for some uses or make some service for the water pump. Moreover, if we spend all the water with bad usable we will help to decrease the usable quantity in the earth. Finally, to help our grandchildren, we have to encourage the government to make new laws.

In conclusion, we should support that opinion for the rural areas, because people need that, to keep their right, to not increase the cost of water and to give other generations chances to live. Therefore, it is necessary that world government start to create laws to help people. Finally, if the governments make laws, that will leads to great life without worry about water.

TOEFL

If somebody wants to study at a university in the United States he should take the TOEFL exam. The reason to do this exam is that the university needs to know the ability of international students in English. However, to study in SIU we should have 520 in the TOEFL exam, which is difficult for some students, even though they have enough information in English, because they have to answer 150 questions in two hours. Moreover, some people cannot answer those questions on time, because the ability is different between people. In fact, when someone studies at university he will not need to know everything in grammar. Moreover, he can take a long time with answering questions. The TOEFL exam is good to know the level for students, but SIU should get another long exam with the TOEFL. In addition, they have to use both of them to know the ability of students. Finally, TOEFL is the first English exam in the world, and we have to pass it.

Money Changes Our Lives

A large number of people think money will change their life, and they try to get money. Sometimes the people kill and hate each other for money. Although we know the life is beautiful, but people do not know that and still looking about money. They think money can buy happiness, but money cannot do that because the money can make problems for family, money cannot buy health, and money can change some behavior.
First, many families have problems because they rich. In our culture we have big families. Some problems come between cousins. Sometimes brothers agree to work on new company or store. That is good, but when they die their children or grandchildren start problems. Everyone says, “this is my father money”, or “we want to buy this company”. In addition money can make problems between wife and husband. Some husbands think that if they give money for their wife, that is enough. However, Wife needs love and feels not only money. So money cannot help their life. Maybe they will get divorced. Of course divorce and fight are not good. Finally money is not enough to make our family life great.
The next people think that money can keep them with good health. That is not true; sometimes money is a big reason for bad health. We can see that a large number of rich families children take drugs and die. Because parents spend a lot of time in their business, so they do not take care of their children. Although money can help to get a good medicine, but if someone has a lot of money and he has cancer, we know he cannot buy cure. Money does not work every time or give our life the happiness.
The third money effects in people behavior. When some people become rich they do not care any more about other people and start treating other people with badly. Therefore they lose friends, family, and life. So nobody can live alone. In addition, person who has a lot of money will change. He will be worry about money and think all people are looking for his money. He cannot sleep or get quiet, and he cannot buy them. Nobody wants to be arrogant or to lose his quiet. Therefore money will do those things.
My opponents say money is important to be happy. That is wrong. Many people have money and they ask how to get the happiness. Sometimes money helps people have more fun, but other times it steals fun. For example someone travels to other country and spend a lot of money but when he arrived in the other country he feels sick. In addition people do not think so far ahead of them life. For example some rich people do not study at the university because they think do not need it and they lost the money. Now they do not have money, education, and they cannot get job easily. If they think a lot they will know, having more money is not a good idea to get happy. But a few people know that.
In conclusion it is very important that people know money is a bad thing. When we ask about the family problems we find money. When we are talking about health we know money will not do anything, and changes to behavior are caused by money. Because of these reason anybody fight to money. We know that is unwise. We may explain money is one of several think we need sometimes, and we can live with less or more of it. We should know how to live without thinking about money. That is the right way to get the happiness.

Limit Bill in South Carolina

In Hull’s article, “Bill Would Limit Payday Lending Measure Aims to Cap Fees, Restrict Number of Loans Borrower Can Carry,” he say’s that government should or should not make a new law to control the fees of loan in South Carolina. In addition, Hull explains different opinion from tow people. Clemmons a political man talks about control the fees and reduce the percent of borrowers from 15% to 5% and he wants 36% for the yearly charge cost. Moreover, he tells us that government would put a new law for loan. On the other hand, Fulmer said that 36% a year is not enough. It would reduce the industry, and he said nobody can work with low salary. In addition, he said 390% per a year is not fair, it is normal amount for rate that in bank. Fulmer also said if somebody takes $300 and he can not pay it on time he can pay the fee which is $45 and take another loan to cover the first. Finally, he said his company has fewer fees than the bank and pay trade and customers find the less one.
A law of fee loan in the United States is different between states. However, in South Carolina fees are very high. Clemmons support the good idea. The percent should be reduced by the government to help and protect poor people, to curb the inflation of debts and to create social equality.
First, the main test for government is protecting people from economic and military problems. However, the percent of fees is very high and this is not fair to poor people because if they need money they must pay more fees from that money. In “ Bill Would Limit Payday Lending: Measure Aims To Cap Fees, Restrict Number Of Loans Borrower Can Carry” Hull claims, " state law allows payday lenders to charge $15 fee for every $100 borrowed on a two-week loan” (2007, para. 6). That mean poor people will drown in debt. For example, if one takes $300 to buy medicine for his child and he cannot return the money before 3 months. He should pay $580, this big number. So, when people need money will happen like that pay more fees. The situation of poor people will not be change
Next, to preserve country's economy governments must be given to balance economic and lowering of fees helps to curb the inflation of debts. That means loan cost affect countries economy. In "Interest Rates” the author claims “Low interest rates can stimulate the economy . . . High interest rates usually have the opposite effect “ (n.d. para.5). That mean if people take low fees in their loans, they will help countries to grown-up the economy. In addition, if the fees still high, big number of borrowers cannot repay loan. Moreover, lenders will suffer from nonpayment of money and the prices will be much higher because less percent of people can buy. At this time fees will affect whole the country not only the lenders or borrowers and the economy will go down.
Finally, loan costs will affect social equality because only lenders have the advantage from the system of loans. Moreover, costs will create big difference between people. For example, lenders will maintain their trade and continue to become rich. In the other side poor people will still be in the same situation. For example, if someone does not have money and takes loan with high fees, he cannot pay the loan and he will be keep on poor. In addition changing the law and lowering to %5 are good for keep social equality in the safe way. Therefore government has the responsibility to change law to help people.
In conclusion, we should support that opinion from Clemmons because poor people need that, to control the inflation of debts and to have great social equality. Therefore, it is necessary that government start to charge law to help state and people. If government changes the law, it// will be encourage economy and people to have good life.

Keep away, Monopoly!
Now economy is very important to have a good life because world is changed. In addition, some countries work together to improve their economy and they share their experience to create perfect product to help their citizens. According to “Small Business and Entrepreneurship" the author's claims "many immigrants have clustered in U.S. communities . . . . These ethnic pockets laid the foundation for the development” (n.d. para. 2). That mean different culture can help to get good product. It is clear that people and countries need to have free market to get great economy, but that will not happen when we have monopolies. Moreover, some government in the past support monopoly, but now they try to change the system. For example, in Saudi Arabia In the past we have had many monopolies but now the government is trying to reduce the proportion of because they have benefited from the experiences of other countries. In addition, they want to accompany economic development in the world. Therefore, we should not allow monopolies company in our community because monopoly leads to less competition, higher prices, and awful products and services, and it affects the growth of economy.
We can understand that Monopolies and business have a relationship. According to " The Lectric Law library's Lexicon on Monopoly" the definition of monopoly is " the abuse of free commerce by which one or more individuals have procured the advantage of selling alone all of a particular kind of merchandise, to the detriment of the public" (n.d. para. 1). In addition, that monopoly has been used for several centuries in the world. In this article "Way Monopolies Are Bad" Adkins says, "origins of monopolistic behavior are as old as politics or commerce" (n.d. para. 2). That means we can not know the exact date of starting the monopolies in the world In this article "History of Antitrust Regulation" the author tell us "On July 2, 1890, the first federal law directed against industrial combination and monopoly was enacted" (n.d. para. 5). That is about monopolies in the United State history. However, from two decades ago the monopoly was more popular, but the world changed and now countries have awareness more than the past. In addition, they are trying to move away from monopolies and not allow them. For example, in the past, we had a large number of monopoly companies in the world, but now they begun to disappearance because they have negative points.
The first reason to support that idea of not allowing for the existence of monopolies is that monopoly helps to reduce competition. According to "Alcohol Industry Opposes Monopoly" Smolchenco says, "The introduction of monopoly would seriously harm competition" (2006. para. 3). Therefore, monopoly leads to less competition when the trade is between small numbers of companies we will have a few options. On the other hand if there are a large number of traders, that means more competition. In addition, competition helps to get customer satisfaction. When there is a need of some customers to purchase some products especially with products that are difficult to stay without like food, clothes and electricity, in the same time they have dissatisfaction with the product. That will be lead to get customer discontent. For example, in Saudi Arabia we have only one company provides electricity service, and nobody can live without electricity that makes people take this service even if they do not like it. Finally, the lack of competition is bad for customer because the people need more chances to have good quality.
The second reason is that monopoly leads to higher prices. It is bad for people when the products or services are come from one company or two companies. This leads to higher prices. For example, if one company provides telephone service in a particular area and no alternative for this company. In this case there will be no objection to the company raising prices and this is not good for consumers because if prices rise will happen some damage to the financial position for consumers. In this article " Ryanair Welcomes OFT BAA Decision" the author claims "Regulation by the CAA has clearly failed, it's time to allow competition between the London airports to deliver better facilities and lower costs for British passengers and British business". (2007, para. 4). That means in London airports there are a monopolies for the services of passengers and this led to a rise in the cost Furthermore, the monopolies are like robbery. If companies raise the prices and they have knowledge about customers will forced to buy product. These are called theft and attack on the rights of others. In this situation is no different between the merchants who support monopolies and among thieves. Finally, we can understand that monopoly drives the prices up and that is not good and harmful for people.
Third, if the monopoly companies know they do not have a competitor, they will not try to improve their services and products. In addition, Monopoly goods will not face similar products from other companies, and this will ultimately lead to a failure to develop products because one of the most important reasons for products development is the competition For example, if we have number of companies and they are producing the same product. In this case, they will try to improve their product to obtain the consent of people then will be there high-quality products. Sometimes if companies control some products and they do not have a real competitor this leads to poor quality goods because some of the traders do not have consciences and they often think about quick profit, not consumer convenience. For example, the companies which provide Internet service in Carbondale it not provide services excellently. The reason is that we do not have big number of companies provide the service. Finally, Monopoly is not conducive to the development of products and services and this is not good for customers.
Finally, economy is in everything in our lives and the monopoly is one of the most important causes which affect the growth of economy. Because if there was a monopoly that will be lead to a lack of companies. Moreover, this would result in a high proportion of corporate profit at the expense of the individual. In this case, the per capita income will reduce, which in turn leads to decline the growth of economy. For example, in Egypt they have many monopoly companies this led to create a large number of poor people and led to the decline of the economy in Egypt. In addition, Monopoly is major reason for not acquiring consumer confidence, and this will affect directly on the economy. Because if there is no mutual trust between the customer and company, will be there interruption in the economic wheel, this will negatively impact the economy. For example, something happened to me with media.com a monopoly company that provides Internet service in Carbondale. When I found that service was not good and the price is high this led me to the decision to cancel dealing with this company. That means If customers doing like me this will be directly affect the economy. That is why should support a new law against monopoly to assist in economic growth.
Opponents argue that monopoly is good and that some governments support this idea. In this statement we can understand that some governments are driving and supporting the existence of monopoly. Nevertheless, when some governments knew what are monopolies problem they try to make some change. For example, this is what happens in Saudi Arabia in the last five years, when the government goes to privatize government companies and opening the door to a free market. In addition, monopolies are not good for the governments because they affect economic growth. For this reason the governments need to support free markets to help the local economy and then the world economy. Finally, we should clean the world from monopolies to have free market.
In conclusion, monopolies are harmful for people. As a result of this problem, Saudi Arabia and some countries go to change their situation. They go to make a big change when they try to create free market. Moreover, they go to prevent create new monopoly companies because they was find out that monopoly is harmful. We must support not to allowing the corporate monopolies in our country to have a perfect economy. There are many reasons to fight monopoly, for example, increasing the strength of trade competition, which would affect the national economy. Furthermore, the monopoly will lead to creation of new social levels, in addition to a large gap in income between populations. Monopoly is kind of evil; we have to not allow it and we should fight it.
